By accessing or continuing to access www.island.buzz you agree to the terms and conditions on this page, and indicate awareness of the information within those terms and conditions.

  1. Island.buzz is owned and operated by Island Buzz Enterprises – a business registered in and operating under the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
  2. Island Buzz Enterprises provides advertising space to charitable, not-for-profit, and First Nation, Metis and Inuit groups that operate exclusively, or primarily on Vancouver Island. We do not advertise for any events that do not occur on Vancouver Island.
  3. We reserve the right to ask for and/ or verify charitable and not-for-profit status prior to, or during any advertised event. Any individual or organization that is found to be not registered, will have their event removed and will not be able to post events in the future.
  4. Our purpose is to advertise single day, or short term events on our page. Advertisers meeting the criteria in #2 may advertise at no charge six times per year. Exceptions will be made at our sole discretion. Ongoing or semi-permanent advertising spots are available to charitable, not-for-proft, First Nation, Metis, and Inuit organizations at significantly reduced rates as compared to our business rates.
  5. We will not knowingly advertise events that promote hate, discrimination, exclusion, etc. While we exist as a very small for profit business, we are part of a diverse community. We reserve the right to limit advertisers at our sole discretion.
  6. Organizations agree that any links provided in their advertising remain under their control and will point only to information about their organization. At no time will links provided be set up in a way that directed visitors to a site that is a for profit business.
  7. Advertisements for events on our page are for the benefit of those organizations and Island Buzz Enterprises makes no warranty, express or implied, as to the safety, fitness for a particular purpose or audience, etc. for any event listed. Visitors should contact the organization directly for detailed information.

Advertisements for businesses are for the benefit of those organizations and Island Buzz Enterprises makes no warranty, express or implied, as to the safety, fitness for a particular purpose, etc. for any business, product, or service listed. Visitors should contact the organization directly for detailed information.
  9. Business advertisements will open in a new window for visitors.
  10. Advertising rates may change from time to time. Discounts for first time advertisers may be given. Discounts for longer term advertising may be given.
  11. Taxes, both federal and provincial (BC) may be payable on advertising and other fees.
  12. Business advertisements will be rotated on a frequent basis to ensure even distribution and specific spots are not guaranteed.
  13. We reserve the right to make minor edits to any and all advertising copy for brevity, consistency, and so on.
  14. Any images supplied must not violate copyright holders rights, trademarks, etc.
  15. By requesting to advertise on Island.buzz, you certify that you are authorized to do so on behalf of the entity being advertised, whether paid or not.
  16. Island Buzz Enterprises sources graphics from a wide range of sources. All images outside of advertising copy are either free license graphics or owned by Island Buzz Enterprises.
  17. Island Buzz Enterprises’ web servers are located in Canada. We do not store data on any non Canadian servers.
